60-foot Multiversal Dome at Texas Eclipse Festival

DOMES / INSTALLATIONS / STAGE VISUALS / FABRICATION

Aether builds projection domes, art installations, stage visuals, and interactive sculptures for music festivals - from 60-foot fulldome experiences to CRT towers and sacred-geometry lanterns scattered across festival grounds.

Festivals need art that survives the weekend and stops people in their tracks.

The best festival art becomes the thing people remember years later - the dome they walked into at 2am, the sculpture that changed colors when they touched it, the stage that felt like it was breathing. That is the work we build.

Aether has produced the 60-foot Multiversal Dome at Texas Eclipse, built TELAVAVISION (a 12-foot CRT lava lamp) for Okeechobee, fabricated sacred-geometry lanterns for Sonic Bloom, and deployed our Illumine and Aurora domes at festivals across the country. We design, fabricate, transport, install, operate, and tear down - your production team gets a turnkey immersive space.

Projection Domes

Portable immersive domes from 27 to 60 feet - multi-projector calibration, fulldome content, sound, and on-site crew for the full weekend.

Art Installations

Large-scale sculptures, illuminated structures, and interactive objects designed to become landmarks on the festival grounds.

Stage & Set Visuals

Projection-mapped stage design, real-time generative visuals, and live VJ pipelines built around your lineup and production schedule.

Interactive Sculptures

Sensor-driven and camera-reactive installations that respond to the crowd - button triggers, body tracking, live video compositing into the art.

Fabrication & Scenic

CNC-routed structures, laser-cut panels, LED-lit sculptures, and custom scenic elements engineered to survive outdoor festival conditions.

Visual Production Management

End-to-end production lead for immersive spaces - projector spec, content pipeline, artist coordination, calibration, and show operation across the full event.

We build it, we truck it, we run it, we tear it down.

Festival production is unforgiving - dust, rain, power drops, tight load-in windows, and a crowd that does not care about your logistics problems. Our team has operated domes and installations through full festival weekends in conditions that would kill rental gear. We spec equipment for the field, not the showroom, and our crew stays on-site from load-in to teardown.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size festivals do you work with?
From intimate 500-person gatherings to 30,000+ multi-stage festivals. We have produced dome experiences for Texas Eclipse, built installations for Okeechobee, and fabricated art for Sonic Bloom. The scope scales - the approach stays the same.
How far in advance do we need to book?
For dome deployments and large installations, three to six months is ideal - it gives time for content production, fabrication, and logistics planning. Smaller installations and visual production roles can work on tighter timelines. Festival season books up fast, so earlier is better.
Do you transport and install everything?
Yes. Our domes and installations are designed to tour. We handle transport, on-site assembly, calibration, operation through the event, and teardown. We show up with crew - you do not need to source local labor for our installations.
Can artists bring their own content for dome shows?
Absolutely. We have worked with artists like Android Jones and Chroma, managing their content pipeline into fulldome masters, handling calibration and blending, and operating shows across full festival weekends. We can also produce original content or a mix of both.
What happens if something breaks during the festival?
Our crew stays on-site for the duration. We carry backup projectors, cables, and media servers. Equipment is spec'd for outdoor conditions - dust, temperature swings, rain contingency. If something fails, we fix it between sets.
Do your installations need power and infrastructure from the festival?
We will spec power requirements during planning and work with your production team on placement, power drops, and any rigging or ground-anchor needs. Most of our installations are self-contained once power is connected.
Can we commission a permanent piece or is everything rental?
Both. Domes are typically rental with full-service operation. Fabricated sculptures and installations can be commissioned as permanent pieces that the festival owns and redeploys year after year. We will structure it either way.
What insurance do you carry?
$1M per-occurrence / $2M aggregate general liability with scheduled equipment coverage. Certificates of insurance issued per event and added to your festival vendor paperwork as needed.
