Is Aether too expensive for a small business?
Not necessarily. We work across a wide range of budgets. A custom website starts in the low four figures. A one-night projection-mapped event can start around $5k. Custom software depends entirely on scope - we will give you an honest number early so you can decide before any money changes hands.
Why would I hire a studio that works with NASA instead of a freelancer?
Because you get the same engineering discipline and reliability at a scope that fits your business. Our code is production-grade, our designs are original, and our work does not break six months after launch. We also do not disappear - we have been operating since 2017.
Can you work with my existing website or do I need to start over?
Both. We can build on top of what you have - fix performance issues, add features, redesign the frontend - or build from scratch if that makes more sense. We will tell you which approach saves you money.
What platforms do you work with?
We build custom on modern frameworks (Astro, React, Next.js, Node) and integrate with Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, Squarespace, and most SaaS tools. If you are already on a platform, we can work within it. If you need something purpose-built, we do that too.
How long does a typical project take?
A website: 4–8 weeks. A custom software tool: 6–16 weeks depending on complexity. A one-night projection event: 3–8 weeks of prep. We will give you a real timeline with your estimate.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes. We offer monthly retainers for ongoing development, maintenance, hosting, and support. We also do one-off updates and fixes as needed. The relationship does not have to end at launch.
