KARAO

Karao started as a fun internal experiment: what if you could generate an entire karaoke song from a single text prompt? We wired up an LLM to generate original lyrics on the fly - users type in anything from 'a cowboy ballad about debugging code' to 'a power ballad about pizza' - and the system produces a full set of timed karaoke lines ready to sing.

The game presents the generated lyrics in a classic karaoke-style scrolling display, highlighting each line as it comes up so players can follow along and belt it out. It's deliberately loose and fun - the whole point is the absurdity of singing AI-generated lyrics with total commitment.

Built as a lightweight web app, Karao was designed as a creative exercise to explore what's possible when you combine generative AI with a simple, joyful interaction pattern. No complex infrastructure, no heavy production - just a clever idea executed quickly and shared with friends.
