Dome Projection Simulator is a tool we built for previewing and understanding dome projection. It lets creators visualize how their content will look mapped inside a dome - without needing access to a physical one. Load your media, adjust projection parameters, and see the result in real time from any angle.
Beyond pre-visualization, the tool serves as a teaching aid for anyone learning how dome projection works. It demonstrates the relationship between flat source content and the curved projection surface, making it easier to understand warping, blending, and field-of-view before committing to a physical setup.
Built entirely in Three.js, the simulator runs in any modern browser with no installation required. It's available at domesim.aetherimmersive.com.
